Rotary Club of Jammu city is organizing a free plastic surgery camp here from February 15 to 20 in order to provide free treatment to patients from underprivileged sections of society.
This was stated by President, Rotary Club of Jammu City Anil Swaraj while talking to media persons here today.
He informed that a galaxy of world renowned plastic surgeons, inspired by Rotary’s selfless services, will be joining voluntarily to perform free surgeries under the mentorship of Rtn Dr Chanjiv Mehta, a renowned cosmetic surgeon, who is associated with global organization ‘Doctors Without Borders’ and travels worldwide to provide treatment to patients across the globe.
“Dr Surajit Bhattacharya, President, Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, Dr Sanjeev Uppal, HoD, DMC, Ludhiana and Dr Parshant Gautam, Plastic Surgeon have also confirmed their participation”, he informed.
He stated that J&K Health Department has already extended their kind support by informing the people through hospitals and health centres across the State and organizing preliminary screening by their doctors at the block level.
Among others present were Adeep Mehta, Project Chair, Sanjeev Vaid, Robin Mehta, Sandeep Beri, Gurdev Sodhi, Ravinder Kaul and Arun Ninawat.
